A chart that graphs the high, low, and settlement prices for a specific trading session over a given period of time. Chicago Board of Trade glossary

A graphic representation of price movement disclosing the high, low, close, and sometimes the opening prices for the day. A vertical line is drawn to correspond with the price range for the day, while a horizontal " tick" pointing to the left reveals the opening price, and a tick to the right indicates the closing price.    A type of chart, widely used by technical analysts and traders, that represents price information on a vertical bar. The top of the bar is the highest price and the bottom of the bar the lowest. A dash on the left-hand side of the bar denotes the opening price and a dash on the right-hand side the closing price. (Figure 1.)
